Family Friendly Weekend Activities {March 16th-18th}

Can you even believe this winter weather?  I’m certainly not complaining, but I might if we don’t get a little spring to enjoy!

There is quite a lot happening in Knoxville this weekend.  Check out our Events Calendar for a complete list of activities and events!

Ijams Nature Center will be hosting a FREE public program Friday night, March 16th at 6 pm, “Can You Hear the Frogs?” Learn more about their amphibious world, take a hike, and to find some froggy friends! Register by calling 577-4717, ext. 110. They have several other fun events happening Saturday like the Bald Eagle program and wardrobe upcycling.  Visit our calendar for times and costs.

Try out one of Stroller Strides new Saturday classes at the West Town Mall. Class begins at 9 am, Saturday, March 17th. Be sure to wear green!  The first class is free. Saturday only packages are available! Contact Holly for more information, hollykryter@strollerstrides.net.

Mayo’s at Western Plaza will have live 4-H rabbits, chickens, & lambs available for Easter photos from 1-4 pm.  Parents bring your cameras! There will also be an adult volunteer available to take photos. The recommended donation is $5 and this benefits Knox Co. 4-H Livestock Project. Additional dates of Mayo locations will be hosting this event as well: Mayo’s at Kingston Pike on March 24th and Mayo’s at Emory Road on March 31st.

It’s Fan Appreciation Night at the Knoxville Ice Bears Game on Saturday night, March 17th at 7:30 pm. Be sure to get here early as the first 1,000 fans will receive a team photo! The Ice Bears play at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum on Howard Baker Jr. Avenue.

Have a great weekend!  Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

(Psst: Be sure to check FFK tomorrow, we’ve got a fun giveaway starting!)
