Just a few weeks left to keep the kids entertained before school starts! Here are some fun ideas on keeping them entertained this week!
Fun Camps Happening This Week
*The Little Gym in Knoxville and Farragut has a few summer camp openings! This week’s theme is From Islands to Icebergs! Camp is from 9 am – 12 pm everyday, a snack is provided. Register for a day or two, or the whole week. Call 583-1166 to register at TLG Knoxville or 966-4FUN to register at TLG Farragut.
*Riversong Dance Studio is offering camp for children ages 3-12 this week. The theme is Dancing Through the Decades. Children of all experience levels are welcome! For more information visit their Facebook page or website! Riversong Dance Studio is located at 6518 Chapman Highway.
*Children’s Theatre of Knoxville will hold beginning acting classes all this week from 9:30-11:30 am for children ages 5-7. The cost for the weeklong camp, Creative Imagination I: From Page to Stage, is $135. Email Caroline King to register or for more information.
Fun and Safe Way to See a Tornado This Week
The Karns Branch Library will host local TV meteorologist, Ken Weathers this Tuesday, July 24th beginning at 2 pm! He’ll be bringing his tornado machine and teaching about the weather. The Karns Branch Library is located at 7516 Oak Ridge Hwy.
Fun Way to Jump and Benefit Charity This Week
Pump it Up, located at 6612 Deane Hill Drive, will offer FREE jump time on Wednesday, July 25th in exchange for a donation to Autism Speaks. This 4th Annual Great Open Jump will be held from 6-8 pm.
Visit the Mayfield Dairy Farm in Athens, TN for a tour! FREE tours are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday beginning at 10 am. The last tour begins at 4 pm. Enjoy ice cream in their ice cream parlor after the tour! Mayfield Dairy Farm is located at 4 Mayfield Lane, Athens. There are lots of signs along I-75 south!
Fun Thing to Do With Jello This Week
On the blog, I Heart Naptime, I found this fun idea for Jello Cookies that can also become Jello Play-doh! I guess this is one time it’s okay for the kids to play with their food!
