Movies on Market Square Returns for a New Season

The Knox County Public Library, along with Lusid Media, will present the 10th Annual Movies on Market Square beginning September 13th and running through October 18th.

This FREE event happens every Friday night beginning at dusk in downtown Knoxville. Bring your chairs, blankets, and –of course– the kids for these fun, family friendly movies.

The 10th year lineup is full of some great flicks, voted on by the public last month. Click the title of each movie for more information, including the Parent’s Guide that will help you determine whether a movie is right for your family. This year’s lineup is:

September 13th – Despicable Me (PG – 2010)
September 20th – E.T. the Extra-terrestrial (PG – 1982)
September 27th – Jurassic Park (PG-13 – 1993)
October 4th- The Princess Bride (PG – 1987)
October 11th – Back to the Future (PG – 1985)
October 18th – Iron Man (PG13 – 2008)

For the October 11th show, Knox County Library and the Tennessee Association for the Education of Young Children Conference will feature a special preshow event with Joe Castillo, of America’s Got Talent fame. Castillo will present Sandstory®, stories in images as he draws in sand on a light table, choreographed to music.
