Must See Christmas Light Displays Around Knoxville

Looking for a list of must-see Christmas light displays?! We’ve got a list for you!

One idea to make this sightseeing adventure even more fun, is to go in style via the Mini-Van Express, an idea sent my way via FFK contributor Sarah Patton that she found on the blog, Confessions of a Homeschooler. Print out Golden Tickets for your children to find at bedtime that invites them aboard the Mini-Van Express to see Christmas lights while enjoying a snack. The link even includes a download for printing the tickets!

Thanks so much to all of you who contributed to this article! Did we miss a great light show? Let us know and we’ll add it to the list!

**Displays marked with an asterisk have not been verified for 2013! These were displays that we learned of in 2012, but wanted to keep them on the list while we verify addresses and dates for displays.

  1. Thank you Jennifer for putting together this great list. Our family had a blast last night, wearing Christmas PJs, having car popcorn and candy canes while looking at lights. We started at Chilhowee Park. It was raining, and there were only a few other cars there – no traffic! E. Scott Street in Old North was fun. The West Hills Christmas Light show was most impressive. We also hit up the Boyd’s house light show. The Light Display in West Hills with all the inflatables was a real hoot! I think that was our favorite. I might even send them a thank you letter we had such great fun at that house. Driving through downtown and around Market Square on the way home capped off the trip for us.

    Thanks again. And Merry Christmas.

We went to see the Boyd Lightshow on Winter Winds Lane around 8:45 and the lights were off. As we were leaving, we saw the guy outside and asked to see the lights (after driving 20 minutes out there with little kids). He said he could only turn on a few minutes. Not sure the deal there but we were within the hours given. Heads up if you are driving out of your way to see it.
